My lovely lady friend Kristen owns a camera and I've been talking her into shooting me a couple of times over the last couple of years, mostly for Cosplay Deviants. I've been trying to talk her into joining SG and modeling as well, no such luck, yet...lol. It's not really a hobby or passion of hers, she's never taken photography lessons or shot anyone else, but we have a lot of fun and I don't really have any other photographers around here.
Acouple of weeks ago we were shooting some stuff for Propaganda Clothing Co. and decided to try her hand at shooting an SG set so we could both work on just generally getting better at being on our respective sides of the camera. Not to mention I feel really comfortable around her so it's easier to try poses and expressions I might be too nervous to try on the spot with awesome professional photographers. Plus she lets me edit my own photos, which I love, lol.
Unfortunaely, the set didn't come out enough to use, mostly because the lighting kept changing on us and partially because she hasn't really seen enough sets yet to get a feel for the photography style (I plan on buying her a membership and changing that ;) ). Anyways, I was able to get some great prints out of it. I prepped this one today.
