Hmm, its Monday again. This month seems to have flown by. Can you believe its nearly july?! There is a huge july 4th celebration across the street from my apartment every year, this means that my apartments parking structure is full of drunken idiots and its impossible to get in or out. I think I may have to get out of town rather then deal with that.
So I am officially a bad child, it was my parents 30th wedding anniversary on 6/25 and I totally forgot about it until my mum emailed me saying they bought themselves a digital camera for their anniversary. Must go pick up cheesecake factory gift certificate today!!
I just got this email from my boss, I thought it was hilarious:
Subject: Animal Handling Procedures
I don't want any of you attempting to handle any stray cats in the stores. -BB
Over the last two weeks, we have encountered two incidents in our region in which employees have been bitten by stray cats. In both cases, our employees were attempting to retrieve the animal after it had arrived on a truck from the distribution center. I would like to ask for your assistance in assuring, should this situation arise again, that we follow a safe procedure in handling animals that arrive in our stores. We are addressing the cat problem with the appropriate DC folks
- If needed--to prevent an animal from causing damage to the store/merchandise or interacting with customers and other employees--we can corner and/or contain an animal while animal control responds. Please direct employees to not attempt to retrieve/handle animals on their own. If attempting to contain the animal, assure that protective gloves are worn
sounds like my new kitten has been hanging out on the delivery trucks

so far i don't have any plans for the 4th. i'm moving to a new domicile over that weekend so that will probably take up most of my time. i am however spinning records at some outdoor party saturday night. it should be fun. regardless there are tons of things to do in san diego for the 4th. i'll make due.
in the event that you encounter the above mentioned stray cat who thursts for the taste of human blood, you can hit it with a CO2 fire extinguisher. and by hit it i mean spray it, not hit it. cats LOVE being sprayed with fire extinguishers. it's their favorite thing in the whole world. (next to catnip of course).
kitties are getting a little better.. should get better within the week or so..
