whoa, good trip. didn't take any pictures so you will just have to use your imagination. we rode on the new rollercoaster (well new to me, i have no idea how long its been there because the last time i went was in 1994). its called the X - "riders race in prototype vehicles that can now spin independently 360-degrees forwards or backwards on a separate axis"
thank god for the 2-for-1 passes, if we hadn't had them one ticket would have been $47.00!! (i remember it only being like $22.00 for admission) the park was shockingly un-busy so we got to go on all the major rollercoasters. i think the longest line we waited in was an hour & a half. i got a smidge sunburned but the weather was beautiful. i would totally live in CA, i love it there. the beach, the weather, lots to do, if it weren't for the smog and the traffic i think it might be a perfect place to reside.

first: californians in general are the most self-centered, material people i've had the privilege of meeting. this fact shows in everything they do, including driving. to them, they are the only people on the road. that is precisely why they don't signal and refuse to move into the next lane when you merge onto the freeway. the poorly designed roads don't help either.
second: have you ever driven overseas? if not, almost everyone else on the planet drives like complete idiots. no common sense. none. it's amazing. take italy for example. i love italy. i lived there for almost 4 years and i would probably go back for four more. but, we instill something in our children at a very young age that they do not in italy. common sense. most italian drivers have no concept of this. they drive super fast on the shitty little roads and even faster when it's raining. they wreck and die all the time. nobody learns. and you can apply that to everything they do, not just driving. as a whole it is a very unsafe culture but it's a great place to be though. anyway, back to my point. the people who are on the highways in california who aren't californians are foreigners. mexican, iranian, saudi, asian take your pick. so they bring their shitty driving into the equation.
self-centered asshole + foreigner = california driving
glad you had fun.
DISCLAIMER: i do not have a problem with foreigners. just their driving habits. no californians or foreigners were harmed in the typing of this comment.
