It's kinda sad that a boy had to teach me how to treat my boyfriend, even though I have a "boysish" mentality sometimes.
My friend David was asking me about how much me and Drew talk a while back.
I said couple times a week, then I see him on Saturdays.
His reaction was so wierded out that it really made me take notice of now neglectfull I was being.
I was thinking that it was Drew who was neglecting me, but it was more like him giving back equally to what was being put out by me, which was stoic agnosticism.
He's always been kinda quiet about his feelings cause he's had his heart broken.
Once bitten, twice shy.
I really haven't. I've always been the get you before you get me kinda person.
I get nervous when I put myself out there.
Plus, I figured guys didnt like being mushy and smothered with affection, but boy, in this case I was sorely mistaken.
I call him more often, and if I don't he'll call me. And if we don't talk, he'll messaged me.
He's more touchey now than four year span of us dating.
He's all excited about hanging our and comes to see me as often as possible.
We go to breakfast every Sunday.
He's even wants to go on day trips outside of the city.
All because I bit the bullet and acted like I cared, instead of saying I did and not showing it.

We have been through some nasty shit, but now we're more into each other then we were when we first started dating.
The dynamic has totally changed between us. You would have never known we had broken up or not talked for a month if somebody didn't tell you.

Aint love grand?

Yes... that kind of love is grand. Thanks, I need to be reminded that there are healthy relationships from time to time. And even better that they can get better once they've run up against a wall. But I spoe there isn't much of a difference between a bridge and a wall...
