a good friend of mine has been in hospital for nearly a week now. The bad part is she was in hospital just about a month ago for another matter. Unfortunately this time she was diagnosed with cancer. She is undergoing a whole heap of scans so they can figure out the best way to approach it when she goes into surgery on thurs. also to check to see it hasn't spread anywhere else. The tumor has wrapped its self around her spinal column which means the surgery is going to be very time consuming. fingers crossed though if she is lucky after the surgery she may not need chemo which will be good.
edit:
Well she has just gotten back to me after having countless scans today, it appears to be narrowed down to 2 possible things which are both very serious. so she will have to go through intense chemo and radiotherapy after her surgery, also she's been told whatever she has is really rare so it looks like she's the new interest to the neurosurgeons.
so it's a downer to the day.

Pretty sure that ad with the old lady is for Project Natal, Microsoft's answer to Wii and the new Playstation Move. It doesn't require any controllers, so while it looks pretty strange, the two could very well be shooting bad guys or something...
