Eventful weekend?- all in a days rescue. Saturday saw us nearly spill the Landrover about, then breakdown after a very short but succesful sab, in three hail storms, under rainbows and sunshine.
It was cold, so when the Landy broke down, finding a piece of park and footballs, we played whilst others did what mechanics they could. Waited and kept warm, finding a pub around the corner. Taxi journey back to London, 2 hours. Thank you ETA.co.uk
Today, whilst dealing with my punctured bike tyre on the way out to work, there were distress calls from across the road.
I saw it coming- had to give CPR to an aging man. Damn it though why did I not run over there as soon as it became clearer why his wife was screaming? And, I dawdled up to her flat, leaving my life key behind, 'cos I couldn't be bothered to go deeper in my bag - than the repair kit.
It was not nice kissing that man, and I should have got more air in his lungs. Having checked his circulation in the recovery position - there was none. I did three repetitions before paramedics arrived. Arhhh, They got some kit out..!
They left behind evidence of about 6 needles used, I don't think he was resuscitated, just being pumped full of O2. I just don't know; if I had done things quicker and better...maybe?
I'll call around tomorrow. I don't like Mondays. I don't think he has me to thank for anything tonight.

That's a shame. Thanks for thinking of me!
