Ok I'm bringing something up to date here. Tomorrow more sabbing - so a 3.30 a.m start and that gives me a couple of hours of kip tonight.
My trip to Stratford up on avon, in the week was a first, as was the time spent on board (2) canal boats, outside town in a a little backwater. Yes indeed A bard me hearties!
If you ever need a pee, on shore here's a tip: make sure it's on, off, around those scaffolding fisherman's pitches, so that the nats (flies) sit around there afterwards and hover. That'll anoy the anglers. One small step towards stopping fishing, another cruel and barbaric 'pastime' which we can live without.
When I get a boat, I think I'll need some kit to cruise along the bankside and tag loads of lines with, yeah maybe pull in a few anglers.
Canal boats - they look like a great place to live- I got loads of tips and ideas from a boat owner I met at the London vegan festival ( he'll be at the VIVA incredible radshow on the 21st) and maybe I'll build my own in 6 months.
Oh, I stayed with the director of a a vegan canal holidaycompany, the pictures ( my pics) are of his boats, built in the early 70's so considered old age but not classic. They're going through a refit. It seems you can paint these in the traditional floral- come tattooist style or keep them plain- goth almost. I still want one painted like a zebra, come landing craft, come Max Escher print, black with white zig zags so you can't tell what direction I'm driving at!
More pics, all downloaded from my mobile phone to appear- that damn rocket -man.
