My last blog was somewhat brief, thanks to the hangover from hell and a boyfriend who wanted his computer back, so let me elaborate...
So, Saturday night was the big night out for my sister's birthday in Plymouth, and what a night it was. It started out with me rushing my make up and zooming over to her house to do her hair. She had decided she wanted to wear it up in order to look a bit more posh than her usual hair extension glamour mane, and had tasked me to do the job. Bear in mind that my sister hates her ears, has never EVER been on a night out with her hair up before and, just as I started, said to me 'if it looks sh*t I'm not going out'. No pressure there then... Luckily for her (and me) the hair went well, and we sped off to Plymouth only an hour later than planned.
The night started with half a bottle of vodka at home and then a trip to the best cocktail bar in Plymouth, where the barman (a friend of mine and the mister's) set about making my sister an amazing pink one off cocktail especially for her birthday. He spent about 15 minutes creating a pink citrus masterpiece and presented it to birthday girl with a flourish - only for her to down the entire thing in one gulp, not even tasting it. I don't think he was amused, but it was pretty funny for everyone else involved!
After that we went on to Walkabout, which is MASSIVE and more like a club than a bar. What ensued could only be described as group bouncing? About 10 of us linked ourselves in a circle and proceeded to jump up and down for the duration of about 5 songs including AC/DC and Tina Turner. Birthday girl didn't get involved for fear of ruining her hair and informed me later that we knocked over a good 4 groups of people during this time.
After that, things start to get a little blurry... I know we went to Oceana because I remember complaining to the barman that Mister's beer was flat and trying to get another one. I also remember only making it as far as the R n B floor, where I tried to dance as sexily as I could. I also remember that I failed miserably! Dancing to Flo Rida, I tried to get low, and actually just fell over. Luckily I was too drunk to even be a little bit embarrassed, and got up and tried again. My legs were killing me on Sunday! I honestly felt like I'd ran a marathon. We all woke up at about 10 the next morning, still drunk as skunks and went to KFC for breakfast. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat the burger that I bought and it got donated to one of Mister's housemates. I'm a little upset about that now
All in all, a very good weekend had!
