Well I'm updating, so it must mean one of two things. xD
That's right guys, I'm moving again. In less than a week I'll be signing a lease for my new place. I'm returning to Louisiana. Pretty excited about it for several reasons, the most important being another shot at attending a college of music. I've been out of it for so long, but during my visit to find the new apartment I was surrounded by so many people equally as passionate about music as I. My love and motivation was renewed.
In other news, I've had a pretty good time in the past month or so. I actually had the opportunity to see some shows. It was great to finally get out. Hadn't seen any shows since I moved here in May. I have a few very low quality photos. Not sure if I'll take the time to upload them all. The memory is what really matters, right? Anyway, it was really fun. I've been a fan of Metric for several years and I caught 2 shows back to back.
It wasn't the original plan to see them twice, although I can't complain. I saw them in New Orleans and then in Austin. The Austin show was announced a few weeks before the New Orleans show so naturally I jumped on the first opportunity I saw. New Orleans ended up being more appropriate and convenient for the friends that were interested. "Why not do both?" I said. I put in a ton of hours on the road to see all the friends I left behind in New Orleans and catch the show then drove some more back to Texas.
The future roommate isn't so much into seeing shows. He's very much a lover of music, but I guess he and I have different plans for our music training. I'll have to drag him out for a few shows.
Guess that's all folks. We'll see what happens in the coming weeks!
