Sun City was an absolute blast!
A pic I took on our roadtrip to the resort
Me & Lee (yesterday we celebrated our 2-year wedding anniversary)
Inbetween eating & drinking & partying & sleeping, we did quite a bit of walking & even managed to squeeze in a Segway safari, which was the most fun I've had with my clothes on in a long time!!
The same way I found quadbiking to be very similar to horseriding, so I found 'Segwaying' similar to snowboarding.
On the way back to Jo'burg yesterday I picked up another animal skin rug (buffalo, I'm told) for our new house. We also swung via Easylife Kitchens in Randburg & signed off on the final quote & design of our kitchen Installation has been booked for 23 July.
Tomorrow I've set up an interview at a large funeral parlour in Soweto, to chat to a 30-year-old Black woman who has been working there for the past 14 years (yes, since the tender age of 16!) - to find out what her day-to-day job entails & what makes her tick. It's for my next commissioned Marie Claire story entitled "My Extraordinary 9 to 5".
For all my fellow Jo'burgers reading this, I just thought I'd let you know about the next big jol on the horizon...
Hope to see you there!! If you can't make the festival, we will be going through to Red Room for our mate, Michelle's, birthday at 10pm that night.

I'm planning on launching a site with scanned copies of all my published work in the near future - an 'online portfolio' of sorts. Watch this space...
