I have been a bad, bad girl
Our open-plan loft room / home office looks like a complete tip & I cannot seem to muster up the energy to get it in order. It is so bloody hot here in Jo'burg today, & I have spent most of the morning lying under the fan downstairs reading my Patricia Cornwell novel. Procrastination is my middle name. But I am going to HAVE to get cracking on this room this afternoon. I simply cannot work in a mess. Mess = stress
My plan is this: if the Client Service Director position doesn't come through (I'm not so sure these guys are as serious about the Jozi agency as they initially were when they first moved up from Slaapstad), then I'm going to launch ahead with the marketing of my own agency in the new year, plus actively pursue a career in freelance magazine journalism. Both can be done mostly from home, so I am going to need a nice, calm environment in which to work.
The building of our new house in Northcliff should also be commencing in late Jan to early Feb, so that'll no doubt keep me quite busy for at least the first half of 2007. I also plan to learn conversational Zulu (have bought myself an educational CD), & help out however I can at the local SPCA or similar organisation (eg. with the rescue & rehabilitation of abused / neglected horses).
So what are your plans for 2007??
