Had a swell farewell on Friday. The company bought me a huge bunch of flowers to say thank you for my contribution these past 2 years, & I had to do a speech in front of the assistant publisher, all the sales managers &, like, 50-odd colleagues
The much-hyped "Hellraiser" party at Zeplin's on Saturday night was very disappointing (poor turn-out & mediocre music), but at least we got to have a few laughs with some awesome mates beforehand (Mervin's birthday party at his dad's sprawling modern home on Linksfield golf course)...Oh, & not forgetting the earth shattering shag marathon we indulged our horny little arses in when we got home
Today I attended the 1st day of a 3-day magazine journalism workshop at the Institute for the Advancement of Journalism (IAJ) in Parktown, which is housed in a lovely rambling old Colonial-style home, only one gracefully-aging mansion away from Jo'burg Gen (government hospital). From up there on the ridge, you are treated to one of the most breathtaking views of the city's leafy northern suburbs.
Anyway, I am supposed to be working on an "interviewing" assignment we have been given for tomorrow, but alas - no inspiration!! Will just have to pull something out of the hat in the morning, I suppose
Night-night

I paid for the magazine journalism workshop in a private capacity. It's something I can really see myself getting into
