Hope the Easter Bunny spoilt you all rotten this weekend??
I must say, if there were two words I would choose to sum up our last 4 days, they would have to be "sex" & "chocolate". We indulged in plenty of each
It was really nice getting a chance to meet Sean & his wife, Angie, on Saturday night. Tarryn brought along the most peculiar little friend, named Craig, who really should've been a jockey. When I saw how schmangled Lee, Tarryn & Craig were getting, I resorted to "granny" mode & switched to Coke for the rest of the night, as SOMEONE reasonably responsible had to drive us all home After a very long & dark 60-minute trek back via all the quiet back roads, we eventually crawled into bed sometime after 4:30am...*yawn*...
On Sunday afternoon we went round to Richard's place for a bit of an impromptu braai (BBQ). Marc - Richard's brother, & his girlfriend, Jolene, were there as well. Marc - who also happens to be our architect, had made us a model of our house on a scale of 1:100. It is sooo terribly cute, & really gives one an awesome feel of what it's all going to look like in a few month's time. It's been 7 months since we found the stand & signed an "Offer to Purchase". Up until this point we have been dealing with nothing much more than legalities & paperwork, but when I saw this little Triplex model - almost like a tiny dollhouse - I found myself getting excited about the whole venture all over again
Yesterday we were far too knackered to go quadbiking, so stayed home & worked on a template for one of my Edge Models webpages instead. Last week I approached a potential investor to help kickstart my business, & after receiving a reply requesting a copy of my CV, I updated that & emailed it through to him as well. Will let you know what happens...please hold thumbs for me!
Oh, well, I guess it's time for me to buckle down to some work now. Hope you all enjoy the rest of the (short) week ahead
