The delectable (but also pretty dumb) Robbie Williams is in South Africa on tour at the mo. I heard on the radio that he apparently doesn't want to meet our ex-president, Mr Nelson (Madiba) Mandela, who is, as you all know (I hope!), probably one of THE most important living humanitarian icons of the 20th century!! Now, sure, Robbie is also, like, only "the biggest selling artist of the 21st century", but hey, the grandfatherly Madiba is seriously getting on in years (they've nicknamed the cute way he dances "the Madiba shuffle"!), & unlike most of our other hugely popular "tourist attractions", he certainly won't be around forever. I just can't believe that someone - ANYONE!! - would actually willingly pass up an opportunity like this

1.) Dressing up in the full-on "Licorice Allsorts Man" regalia for a Beacon promo in my student days

1.) DURBAN, South Africa - a sprawling harbour city, which has often been compared to Miami, Florida
2.) ORANJEMUND, Namibia - a colonial diamond mining town at the mouth of the Orange River (where it gets its German name from), & where my dad was the doctor on the mines for 2 years just before I started school
3.) LONDON, UK
4.) JOHANNESBURG, South Africa - aka Egoli, which means "City of Gold" - not only because it is built on several world famous gold mines, but also because it is the economic powerhouse of Africa

1.) Europe - namely 2 x long weekends across to Paris & Amsterdam (Paris is definitely my most favourite city in the whole world)
2.) Chile - snowboarding @ Valle Nevado in the Chilean Andes, with a brief visit to Santiago
3.) Mexico - namely Club Med in Cancun, plus a daytrip out to the ancient Mayan ruins @ Chichen Itza & back via Valladolid
4.) NYC
