you know my bitch about black and white photography?
This isn't directed at anyone, the B&W sets I've sen here have for the most part been pretty good.
My complaint about people who use black and white photography to achieve a certain look is that their photography isn't really that good to begin with, and in black and white it really shows.
Color is often a crutch to young artists, photographers, and designers. My old Art School teachers used t say "If the design works in black and white, it will work in color."
I believe that. when you strip away the color you begin to see that the composition didn't really work all that well and the viewer was distracted by color. Well, i guess if you're planning to work in black and white, you should probably pay more attenrion to your compositional elements.
I'm just bitter today (what else is new) and i need to get otivated. i already feel grey so i guess black and white makes me feel noir.
I used to have a "dark personae" and you know what i was really a lot happier. I was all about horror and gore. i was like a "B movie" living and walking. Now I'm "grown up" and iguess i miss having my own mythology. I miss my fairy tale because lets face it the world is going to shit. I'm sorry. I'm American .... My world is going to shit.
