Here's another one from the shoot with the blue jeans (for girly). I added more pictures to my folder so go check it out!
So a major update. Please bear with me.
Big Event #1: The Move
We have moved into a new apartment in a new complex. It's a little further south than we were which is tacking on an extra 15 minutes worth of drive time to my commute. But the complex is much nicer than our old place and has a gym we can use 24/7. So once we are settled in, we will FINALLY get to start working out again.
We are still moving little things over from the old place and will go in for a really good cleaning for the rest of the month. This has really impacted our finances, but it is nice to not have to worry about getting everything moved in one day AND have to clean the old apartment.
Big Event #2: The Shoot
I won't go into a whole lot of detail right now as it would take you folks an hour to read everything I could write about it. This was the weekend-long body painting shoot I was modeling for. Oh boy. I'm in some ways speechless about the whole thing. It was long but it was fun. I was waiting to be painted for...oh...something like 12 hours or so. Then it took another 4 or 6 hours to finish my painting so I didn't start shooting until around 3 or 4 in the morning (after showing up at 9am). But, I have to say, I really loved being body painted and becoming my character. The body painters were phenomenal for even being able to keep painting for that long. They get huge props for that. Plus they were doing it all weekend. I can't imagine how sore they were.
The shoot was fun in some ways and not so fun in others. The waiting kind of sucked. But it's all part of it, so I beared it well enough. The fact that I was the only model to stay that late so I couldn't even shoot the scenes I was supposed to be in after being painted sucked. But I think we got some really good shots out of it anyway. So, with every not-so-good thing, there was something good to balance it out. And I wouldn't have given up the experience of working with some of the photographers I worked with and the body painters for anything. I can't wait to get some pictures to show everyone.
Today I stayed home from work because my car was buried under one and a half feet of snow. Yes, we got hit with a Blizzard. I drive a Saturn SC2 and I'm not even sure it sits a foot and a half off the ground. So trying to plow through the snowdrifts around the car was not in the cards at all. I did get to spend a great day both yesterday and today with DanielK. That was really wonderful. We don't get to spend nearly enough alone time together.
Let's see, what else? Saturday, we had a friend come into town and we all went to see Galatica (which was a lot of fun). Tomorrow we are going to see Papa Roach which I am actually looking forward to. I'm not looking forward to going to work the next day, though. I could really use a week off.
I hope everyone has a great week!
