Wow. I can't believe it's been so long since my last update. Time flies when you are having fun, er, busy.
THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES!!! It really meant a lot to me and made my day even more special.
I'll start with bad news. I killed my car. It was totally my fault for not keeping up with the regular maintenance and as a result I completely killed my engine. It has to be replaced and I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to come up with all the money for it. We did fix our other car so we at least have some means of transportation, but still. My car has been sitting at the dealership since around Thanksgiving. It completely sucks.
In good news, I got a new job!!!! Yay!!!!! I will be working at an industrial real estate firm. Good points: a little more money, a yearly bonus should I and the company meet our goals (which apparantly there has never been a time where anyone hasn't gotten any year end bonus), and lots of room for growth. And it's a big company that even has stock that is publically traded. There is even a fitness center so you may start seeing an even firmer Angeluca.
Bad points: the drive is a little further and paying for the toll road is very expensive. So, I'll be spending a little more in gas. But I believe it is the best thing for the long run.
In busy but good news: the Denver Rollerdolls Calendar is hot off the presses! Go to DanielK's journal to see what it looks like. You can contact either him or I if you would be interested in purchasing one.
In SG set news: I have shot two sets so far. The first one we are not submitting for funny reasons. We were shooting with natural light and everything was looking great until a train stopped outside of our studio and almost completely blocked the light. We kept shooting and the lighting was looking great, but it changes too much to remain consistent enough to submit. I would post some pics but we are planning on reshooting it and I don't want to spoil it from getting accepted.
The second set we shot turned out AWESOME!!! Thank you to DanielK for shooting it and to BasuraBlanca, LilAmySunshine, and MadScience_7 for helping out and being there with us. We will be photoshopping it soon and submitting it so everyone keep your fingers crossed!!! It worked for me with getting a new job, so maybe it will work for my set being accepted.
