The above picture was taken when we were just fucking around.
Things have been, well....interesting. DanielK and I went to get new glasses on Saturday. Unfortunately, the ones I originally wanted are no longer available. The unexpected part was that I found out my insurance was discontinued. I was a tad bit freaked out as I have doctor's appointments coming up and allergy medication to get. Turns out it was just a glitch in the computer system. They laid off a bunch of people at work and accidentally put my name through the system. So, the HR person tells me it should only take a day to go through the computer system. So we trek to the mall last night to get them thinking everything would be fine. Nope. I call HR again today and they didn't realize that it takes a WEEK for it to go through the insurance provider's computer system. So, next Tuesday, we will try this again and hopefully we will both have hot new glasses.
Work has been both fun and boring. The end of last week was fun because I decided I was going to try to teach myself HTML. I know it's not that hard to learn but I've never tried it before. I am doing pretty darn good if I do say so myself. I've got almost one complete site up and running for work. Granted, I'm basing it off of one of our other property's websites (which I had permission to do), but I'm learning a lot and will be working on my own website soon. Go me!
This past weekend DanielK and I worked on some more practice SG sets. We tested out some lighting I was thinking of doing and practicing with that. I knew that depending on the lighting situation, you need to pose differently. I didn't know how much the lighting affected how facial expressions come out on camera. Very good thing to know for all you models. Dramatic lighting=more difficulty getting facial expressions across. I also practiced the whole undressing in front of the camera thing as well. MUCH easier than I expected. I'm usually either clothed or naked when shooting. I've never really gone through undressing and making it look good. It was actually a lot of fun. DanielK and I should have some pics to post soon.
Monday I stayed home while Daniel, Jason and Pete shot with the Green Barrettes. One of the Denver Roller Dolls teams. The pictures turned out great. So much attitude coming from the girls. I've really only seen Daniel's pictures (obviously since I live with him) and it looked like everyone had a great time. I really wish I could have been there. But starting to shoot at 9:30pm at night just doesn't fit in with having an early morning day job (or at least a job you have to drive an hour to get to).
Last night I held a gun for the first time. I've never held anything more than those water guns at Six Flags where you shoot water in a clown's mouth and blow up the balloon to win a prize. We went to Dick's Sporting Goods store last night and tried out some rifles. They were heavier than I was expecting. Or at least I'm weaker than I thought.
Just goes to show how much I really need to start working out again.
This weekend I'm not entirely sure what is going on. Except for Sunday. Sunday we are going to play Paintball with other members of the SGCO crew. I'm really looking forward to it!
Does anyone else watch America's Next Top Model? Am I the only one who doesn't understand and is pissed that Sarah is still there?
Have a good rest of the week everyone!
