So I saw a couple movies this weekend, although they were by very different movie studios and had very different motivations, they both were pretty much the same.
Mirror Mask, pretty good movie and one I would certainly watch again. The acting was very good when compared to other Jim Henson Studio productions (I'm looking at you Labyrinth) and it was visually amazing! Pretty simple plot, I am convinced that JH Studios spends 1 minute of plot development for every 10 hours of special effects. Girl gets thrown into a twisted and unknown world and has to find her way out while trying not to get killed by the world's horrible monsters. See this movie only because the Sphinxes are fucking awesome.
Re-Cycle, this movie is sub-titled so if you are not into foreign movies just strike it off your list now. It's the latest release form the Pang brothers, they are well known in horror circles....made the original version of The Eye. I went into this expecting a true Eastern horror movie, it is not. It has some horror elements but is far more adventure/fantasy. The plot is simple, girl gets thrown into a twisted and unknown world and has to find her way out while trying not to get killed by the world's horrible monsters. Yeah same basic idea, granted Re-Cycle does venture down some philosophical ideas about it's "other world" that are interesting, and the ending is pretty cool. All in all would probably not see this movie again, but it wasn't bad.
Also discovered a good new drink called The Creamsicle.
In a tall glass with ice mix
1 shot of vodka
1/2 - 1 shot of triple sec
A splash of cream
And fill the rest up with orange juice
Very yummy.

the show was awesome... why is it that women get the bad rap for being bitchy but really its the men that act douchey therefore should hold the crown?
