Well, it's official...as of last Thursday I am a Graduate Nurse. Next step: pass licensing boards and find a job. And then...WORLD DOMINATION!!

Don't worry, I'm still alive. I've been completely consumed by nursing school! The second year is so much more time consuming than the first. The good news: I'm on track to graduate in May. The bad news: I probably won't get a full nights sleep until then.

Heading to Pittsburgh for a week to visit my friends and family.

I'm looking for recommendations for my summer reading list. I'm primarily a fiction reader although I will read non-fiction if the subject holds some interest or if the book is particularly well written. To give you an idea some of my favorite authors of all time: Christopher Moore, Roberto Bolano, Wally Lamb, Stephen King, George R.R. Martin. All suggestions are welcome!!

I slept much better last night. I did three things differently yesterday, all of which might have contributed. Yesterday was a full week since starting the new allergy medication. I'm awake again after less than 5 hours of sleep. Not sure if it's related to the incredible hot humid weather here or my newish allergy medicine. If it is the allergy medicine, I'm willing to live with it at least until allergy season is over. A little bit of insomnia and some super vivid dreams are worth it if I can continue to see...

Just finished reading Room by Emma Donoghue. It's an interesting read. Everyone should absolutely check it out.
