Hello SG land!
Here's an update on the past 3 yrs of my life, and LOTS of pics
So, back in 2008 I had broken up with my then boyfriend of 5 yrs (not too civil either) and was going to school for massage therapy. My ex kicked me out, but luckily a friend from school let me stay with her until we finished (since we graduated in august). So there was me and tammy, and her 3 kids living in a 2 bedroom apt! I also found out that I have a sensitivity to wheat (gluten intolerance) but dont have full blown celiacs disease, thank god.. By the end of the year I had graduated from school, found a dead end job (not massaging :surreal , started dating an awesome guy, and found a place to live. Another friend of mine was looking to rent the 2nd bedroom in her house to save $ because she was planning on going to CA. So when she moved to CA, my boyfriend moved in and we took over the rent
Due to the massage therapy I was introduced to alternative healing/healthy living. And my boyfriend Matt was realy into hiking and camping, so I started doing more of that too. For a graduation present we hiked a small part of the AT and then camped in ME for a few days and hiked Mt. Katahdin
Back in 2007 I had gotten a DUI, and since it was my first offense I was just put on probation. So most of 2008 and part of 2009 was also spent going to dui classes and AA. But that's done and over with..
2009 I also spent trying to get my school to give me my diploma! The tried telling me that I owed $ so they wouldn't give me my diploma or an official transcript, so I couldn't get my massage therapy license.. So I had to fight with them about that, and turned out that in my last quarter they had fired my financial aid advisor the same week FAFSA's were submitted, and she never got to submit mine, and they never checked to make sure that all her cases/responsibilities were closed/finished. So now I owe them $4000 ;/ I was paying them as much as I could every month, but I don't have a steady job right now so they don't get shit from me. They keep telling me "If you don't pay we can take you to court" and I tell them, "go ahead! this bill wasn't my fault, it was the schools! and I don't have any $ or anything to take, so go ahead and try.. I'll take my chances in court because I can prove I did everything I was supposed to with the whole financial aid thing.. Stupid fucking student loans..
Anyways, Matt my boyfriend ended up proposing to me, so we got engaged in March 2009. We planned on having the wedding Oct. 2010.. Then, right after Halloween we found out I was pregnant! And I got a new car too because I ad gotten a raise at work 2010 Subaru Impreza STI
So for the beginning part of 2010 we were looking for a new place to live, because the house we rented was falling apart and one of the rooms had a mold problem and the landlord wasnt doing anything about it. Then Matt ended up having to have major abdominal surgery to have 10ft of his small intestine removed! Luckily he made it through ok, no thanks to the hospital.. but that's a whole nother story..
So then, in July 2010, my daughter was born. Natasha Jr
I decided not to go back to work full time, but my employer said that mine was a full time position and couldnt be done part time, so I became a stay at home mom Ive had a couple 3rd shift and on call jobs, but nothing that's been the right fit hours-wise or stability-wise. So for the most part I babysit here and there, and I work 1 day a week in my mom's yoga studio/her boyfriend's dr office.
I am also training to become a yoga instructor. Since having my daughter, and staying home on the computer all day, I have become even more healthy living conscious. I gave birth to my daughter all-natural, no drugs, and I felt EVERYTHING! haha luckily it wasnt a long labor, 8 hours total and it didnt really start to hurt until 3.5-4 hours into it.. My daughter and I eat mostly organic, and luckily she doesnt seem to have a wheat sensitivity, but that can take a couple of years to develop, but were keeping our fingers crossed.
So far this year things have been going ok.. we pushed the wedding off til Oct 2012, so that the baby can be in the weding with us, and so we have more $. We had to put our dog to sleep ;( he was a presa canario, a mastiff) He was almost 7 yrs old and had started to have bladder issues and was in pain so it was that or spend thousands of dollars each year on meds and they didnt even guarantee theyd work.. but he's in a better place now..
I'm also the hearing officer for parking tickets in town, not too exciting but gives me about $100/mo.
Other than that just a lot of hiking with the baby, yoga, traveling to TX to visit my sister, but now VA since she just moved here last week..

I quit the site for a while and just came back. Great to see a name I know - especially with such an awesome story! Yeah, some shit went down, but you seem to have a great guy now and you're a mom! Congrats.
