So, I just came up with a really interesting idea for my first tattoo...
A half-sleeve? Would it be horrible for me to have my first tattoo be so large? Originally I wanted a back piece tattoo as my first piece, but I doubted my design. Now I have simply been researching different tattoos and I keep going back to book quotes. My main two ideas (for small tattoos) include the quotes "we too are stardust" and "I have never seen a vision nor learnt a secret that would damn or save my soul." I really would love a forearm tattoo of a blend of roses and skulls, but with my future as either a therapist or art therapist at hand, I don't believe skulls would go over so well in my career setting.
I have recently picked up a book called The Child Thief by Brom. It is a fascinating horror tale about the legend of Peter Pan. Ever since I have cut my hair short, I have been "obsessed" faeries and pixies. In the book is a disturbing yet beautiful image of a pixie that I simply adore. Then, I began thinking: maybe I should get a tattoo-sleeve of beautiful yet creepy pixies and faeries. Comments? Suggestions? Opinions?
