Things continue to go well with my new cat Buddy. I put up signs, and there's an ad in the paper, but no one has called with the proper description yet. Sad though, as when you do this you hear from everyone who has lost a cat, so I've found myself doing some consoling of those who are struggling with the idea that their own pets are gone.
But he's a great fellow, and after almost a week he's not put a claw in me once. To the point where I had to check and see if he even had any.
Plus he goes outside to poop and pee with no problems at all, knows how to use the cat door after a single try, doesn't startle at anything, is not worried by meeting new people, and will hang out with me in the yard when I'm working out there. Sort of a "no assembly required" kind of fellow.
Just like he grew up right here at the house, almost.
I'm finding I sleep much better at night with him here too. None of this waking up at 5:30 sort of stuff anymore, so how about that.
