How does one know if they have SAD? Or is it just the season I'm missing Ben, a lot. Tired of working Saturday's but will continue to do so (when you don't have a lot of money, you do what you need to... and maybe bitch a little, ok a lot, along the way!).
I haven't decided if I really am into the whole Christmas thing yet (didn't celebrate it as a kid). I like buying gifts for others, but when the Army screws around with your money, it kind of takes the joy out of the season. LOL, it seems that every year my finances seem to get into a crunch right around the best sales. Rather entertaining when you think about it.
I love Washington... I love it more when theres a sunny day. Which we had the day before yesterday. It was heavenly. I am ready to move to Europe tho. Very very ready. I miss my friends and family. It is the season... all the emphasis on family and sharing joy and crap. Well, there are those of us who don't get to, through a choice of our own or circumstances we couldn't control.
My sister gave me a scarf, it's brown and orange... really rather hideous, but i love it. Has two orange balls on the ends. They're fuzzy.
I learned how to build a wood fire. I also learned that burning plastic unwittingly makes you dizzy and smell icky. Eyelashes caught under contacts hurt. Cats make me break out in hives now, but they are so cute when they want to cuddle, I cannot ignore them. I miss volunteering for the no kill animal shelter. I'm still obsessed with Chunky Chicken and Dumplings soup. I love the movie SuperVolcano. Still in love with my BearClaw boots.
And what do people wear to the ballet in Seattle nowadays? I was going to wear a gown, but I'm thinking a cocktail dress and heavy coat (I've been told it's cold in the theater). I got a couple smelly good candles, one that smells like Apple pie and the other wild honeysuckle. I know, I'm rambling. Whatever. I think I'm going to have a Lost marathon night...
I'm also wondering if the set I submitted (and was accepted) is totally awful now. Of course, I really haven't been waiting long in all reality compared to other SG's (GOD I feel for them!). I guess it's just cause it's been so long since it was shot, I've changed a lot in the past 10 months. I guess my lesson for the year is patience. Between Ben's deployment and my set... at least I can build a cozy fire and drink lots of wine
