Last week was an intense one to say the very least...
My ever sweet and gracious friend, Lemuria lost her Mother to cancer a week ago today. I never met her, but how strong and graceful she sounds. She was thoughtful of others while exuding positivity throughout her battle with cancer, which spanned years. Lemuria, you reminded me of the importance of strength and grace....
And my boy Chalko, holy christmas, what a week (weeks) you had! If you're not the epitome of a patient man (and wise), than I don't know who the hell is! Seriously, this man is a true warrior!
To all who are curious about his situation, please read his journal's, they are gutwrenching, passionate, and hopeful all the same. There will be a candle light vigil for his sister Terry this Friday 7:30 PST. So please, strike a match, light a candle, even if for just a few minutes before kicking off ya'lls week end of festivities.
This week's reminded me of so much to be grateful for, even as I was being pummeled by exams, school, chemicals, bags o' potatoes, and my own mental weight...
Seriously,These are times to rise up, come together, and make this moment and the next as best as we can for one another. If this sounds too sentimental, well too bad cause this is where we're at !
So, if anyone reads this, take a moment to think about someone/-thing you're grateful for, and I mean truly fucking grateful for. And be in that moment in all it's timelessness. I dunno about you, but I am def. gonna do this more often. Life's too short.
And if you feel like it, answer me this.. Just what are you most grateful for?
On an entirely different note...I'm headed to CA Wed for the week and I'm gonna do my best to post some fun shots of me and my fam. Maybe even a shot or two of my Mom trying to light a fire (she's such a pyro)...see...
Perhaps not though. Conisdering all the rain, maybe I'll post some pictures of us in a dingy, rain slickers and all...
Until next time, Be well! Much love!
