Secondly: Some of you may know that devious_photos and I aren't "officially" married yet. Well that's changing on June 26th!
Last night, my Fairy Godmother (aka kaije) took me to David's Bridal to help me find a dress. Happily I did find THE DRESS and she is currently getting tweaked a bit because I'm so short (5'1" o_O). Super happy about finding the dress. Not so happy about the experience there.
None of the accessories had any prices on them. None. And my 'helper" kept helping my find more things, even after I told her I wasn't interested in |insert random accessory here|. They also rushed me up to the register so I didn't have a moment to take stock of all the items and try to add things up in my head. I didn't even get the price for my dress! Only "It's on sale..."
So I spent way more than I anticipated. I paid way too much for my veil and these pretty little flower clips for my hair. I am happy though because everything matches, and I'm big on things matching. I do feel like I was taken advantage of a little bit, but it's mostly my fault because I didn't put my foot down and demand prices. I was just so caught up in everything. (None of the accessories have prices on their website either, which I think is shady.)
No wonder brides can over shoot their budget on those reality shows.
So here are my overpriced but matchy matchy accessories that I love:
Sassy shoes (I had to add some color somewhere)
Cute purse (actually not that bad of a price)
Hair clippies (way WAY overpriced)
