We hope to see you there. If you're in NYC. If not, let us know where you are and ask your local promoters to bring us to you.
As for the long absence, there are some reasons. Let's just say that 2004 has been a very turbulent (but not necessarily negative) year for us as individuals. Sadly, sometimes life forces your art into the back seat. Add this to the fact that we only just found a new bassist (Fred Ditman, formerly of Saint Eve) and it's just been hard to perform.
But, we have been working on a new record ! As I write this, I just have to record vocals and mix the record, which features the live band. It will be called "The Severing of Tithes". It will have 11 or 12 songs on it. Some songs will be recognized by faithful concert-goers. Some are spanking new. We can't project a release date for it, but we hope it will be around the end of the year, if we can find a label that wants to distribute it. I have to drop the modesty here and tell you, so far it sounds AWESOME ! Let's hope that I don't screw it up.
While you're waiting for all of this, you can check out Kerry playing with Saint Eve (http://www.thesainteve.com) in NYC on Aug 20 and Philadelphia on Aug 21. Also, at Dracula's Ball on Halloween, playing keyboards with Ego Likeness (http://www.egolikeness.com)
You can also check out Stephen's other 2 bands: Atomic Box (http://www.atomicbox.net) and Uberjerk (http://www.weputout.com), hire Eric to record your band, and enroll at SAE to study with Fred.
And.... Kerry just submitted a lengthy interview to Grave Concerns (http://www.gaveconcernsezine.com - under "Interviews - Industrial"). Go read it if you're interested in long ruminations on the creative process.
And while I'm throwing out links, go buy the new records from Ego Likeness (http://www.egolikeness.com) and Nicki Jaine (http://www.nickijaine.com), because they are both really damn good, and you can't expect that your local dance club DJ is going to spin them for you to hear.
Apologies if you've received this message multiple times. Managing an email list can be tricky.
Thanks for being on our side.
