Helloooooo SG! Long time no see/speak/hear (ala a certain trio of monkeys..)
SG: meet My Life. Life, SG. Both of you are nuts in the best possible ways! Change is rolling over again - not just little subtle ones either!
Another move happening on the 2nd of January - exactly one year to the moment that I told my partner of 10 years it was over and it was irreconciliable. I tried to get him to go to counselling for 8 of those 10 years and he always scoffed at it. He was negative about it when I went on my own, vainly hoping that perhaps the issue was with me alone. It wasn't. There is only so long you can try to break through walls before you wonder why you are even bothering any more.
So... 2011 was a year of major change. A separation, a newly single Mum, part-time floral designer, occasional Domina, part-time artist/puppet builder/puppeteer. Desperately trying to be the good guy while still trying to keep myself and my little one afloat. In December I had to come to a decision, despite being literally handed the keys to a Dungeon. The operative phrase was Sacrifice for the Greater Good. The alterate world will wait until I come back wearing spike heels and brandishing my whips. Time to be the model of legality while I litigate for child support, custody and finally receive settlement of the house.
The Plan:
1. Pull my more legally questionable activities offline for the time being - all my clients are willing to wait and are completely supportive. Good subs they are.
2. Work full-time as a floral designer. Even if that means several jobs to make that happen.
3. Put my little one in daycare 2 of the 4 days I have her.
4. Move to a safer home. (Dealer in the basement apartment and I don't mean BlackJack.)
5. Remind myself that I deserve far more than what I simply need. Keep track of the Abundance that comes to me. Because it is only increasing from here on out.
6. Enjoy my friends and my loved ones because they mean the most to me. That means you too SG.
