I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW.... MY PRESCRIPTION IS GONE..... la la la laaaaaaaa
I got LASIK eye surgery yesterday. Still a bit tender, a bit blurry... I look and feel as though I have been crying for an extended period of time but already I can see better than I could WITH my glasses on. A very weird sensation to be able to see without help as I have had glasses since I was 11... Uhhhh.... I don't want to do the math on that. (I will leave that to Smaptie to figure out and find *hopefully* something humorous about.)
Now if I want to rock the 'librarian look' I just need cheap frames.... none of this $500+ crap. Yay!!! And if I get silly and crash I don't have to worry about contact lenses being welded to my cornea in the morning!! Double yay!!

How is that? I have had necessary eye surgery before, but I would like to do that at sometime.

it didn't hurt. after they taped my eyelashes open, there was a clockwork orange cage put around in the inside of the lids to hold them open so you don't blink. then a hollow suction cup is put onto your eye so you don't move your eyeball involuntarily. then there is a beautiful red light and an awful searing smell and then it is over. i opted for a xanax before b/c there was a 3.5555 hour wait. the build-up of anticipation was the worst part. the surgery itself took a total of 6 minutes for both eyes.
