I have a funny story to tell you about rain boots that failed. I got my 2 year old some new green and white polka dot rubber boots that she was very excited to wear. So today we go out this afternoon while there is a lull in the rain to jump in puddles. She tried out a few smaller ones and then we go to her first big puddle to jump in it. Apparently it was actually some sort of pothole with uneven ground underneath because she stepped into it and jumped but when she landed...... SPLASH!! Sitting up to her waist in the muddy puddle. Needless to say, ANY rain boots will leak if completely submerged.

And she didn't cry. She just told me "Muhma! It cold!" Yes, it is wee one, yes it is. Let's go get you a warm bath. "Ok Muhma.... that puddle is a meanie!" D'awwwwwwwwww..... <3 What a kid. :-)
