I haven't replied to anyone for a long time, or participated in this site in any way. It isn't that I've lost interest in the friends that I've made here, just that I am so busy I wake up in the morning and don't have time to even check my email. Things are going well I think, but uncertainty about many things still plagues me....

kiss i'm really pleased to hear that you're busy! it means progress, and that is always a good thing.

don't worry about the uncertainty, you're doing what feels right, and if it doesn't work out, then you can deal with that if it ever happens. but the point is that it hasnt happened and therefore you don't need to deal with those kinds of thoughts now.

michelle is right, the security sets in a wee bit later. just try and enjoy the chaotic excitement for now.

speak soon mate bok
keturah:
you worry to much hun!
its ok for the future to be a long way off, thats where it belongs, what matters is that you continue to head toward it. And i, as always, will continue to insist that you are more than capable of doing so and will get to that point sooner than you think. And the things from your past will always be there for you. wink

Finally got internet. I've gone in to the Pub business and have little or no spare time. Grandfather died yesterday. For the best, but that's what people say when someone dies isn't it? More later...

well hey! Its finally worked out then? Its funny, but I get all excited for you each time I hear some update from you on that venture, and now your finally confirming that your plan is indeed off the ground and running and again im so excited for you but part of me also feels like crying a little bit. Odd. Then again, not the only odd response ive had to things today. Might be finally time to get my mental helath looked into tongue
Really, for the best is something people only say when the old die. I suppose the thinking is best to be done with it before you have to go through some wasting long death. Im sure thats a notion that you understand. But mostly i think its a religious thing. Either way, I believe sometimes it can be for the best for the one who is passing even if its not for those left behind. Some people just seem to be ready to die. I can only imagine how busy you are now, but if you find the time you know where to find me and feel free to tell me all about....anything. I miss hearing from you!

Can I pop down for a pint and get some special treatment from the landlord?

Sorry to hear about your grandpa.

Hopefully speak soon mate.

I vowed not to update until my "grand plan" was completed, but that should have been a good few weeks ago now. Hopefully this entry won't be sitting around for very long.

I've been stressed, busy, living between two homes. My grandfather is in hospital due to having been diagnosed with later stage lung cancer. Therefore my grandmother, who was previously looked after by him,...

I hope the whole grand plan is slowly coming together at least. can't wait to hear about it!

Sorry to hear about your grandparents, comrade. I wish I was on the same continent so we could get a drink. I hope things take a turn for the better, as you are a rather swell fellow and shouldn't have to deal with so much crap.

In limbo...

I don't have a great deal of free time at the moment, but here's one of my rare moments. I'm still working on something, something which I hoped to be able to announce in a grand manner via this journal. In fact, it should have been announced, done and dusted already, a few weeks back, but things are delayed, and now I'm waiting....

Update time!

My god I'm up early. Usually this time of year I start to. Isn't it nice to wake up with the sun, start your day at the very beginning? All the potential layed out in front of you like fresh snow...

Hmmm... It seems I woke up uncharacteristically poetic today. Here's a rare moment of self reflection.

I'm a terrible uncurable marxist....

So my mission to become a half participating member of this community has crashed in flames yet again. I have no excuses other than sheer unadulterated lazyness.

I mean, you know you must be lazy when you can't be arsed to log in to view naked arse...

What have I been up to? Living. Progressing somewhat, although slowly. All personal projects are showing signs of...

Well yes it's been quite a while since I last updated. Such a long time of course I must have loads to update about.

Or not....

The talented mr ripley was just on TV, and the last scene is truly disturbing. Good film though I suppose.
I've come to the realisation that my prospective career change is more desperately needed than ever. Working in an...

Comrade Lenin's statue is quite wonderful.

I also wanted to note that the English breakfast you served was the single best breakfast I have had this trip to Europe. The beer went along with it perfectly. I just need to note how good of a person you are for serving all of that. Keep it up, comrade.

I'd be a changling. The battle for you between mortal and immortal. To possess each what the other wants.

That and changing in to objects so I could hide, spy and generally get up to no good. shocked)

yeah. how'd you guess?

who did you know?
(i might have some stories to tell about them,
or else conceal some stories for fear of causing offence...)

that was a long new year.
saintadatha:
ah... ash.

yes. well. then i'm sure you know all about our one night of celebrity-status, about the bars and the clubs... and the casino (a fate i escaped)...

and, of course, about our colleagues in chaos.

ash. funny how small this damned world really really is!

As per usual I have little or no real reason to update. But quite naturally I'm going to do so anyway!

What is the best and worst thing about Xmas?

yeah so was totally wrong about having a thing or two figured out. life seems to me today to be primarily arbitrary and meaningless though definitely cruelest to those who can least tolerate cruelty.

christmas...hmmm. this year the best thing was watching my mom get tipsy on Bellinis. worst thing is acting as though all is merry and bright.
saintadatha:
happy new year dude!
i have a hefty deadline in 6 (fuck! 6?!) days,
soon after which I demand your presence at some point.

so there.

Currently I am not sober. This of course is a good state of affairs. I'm surrounded by things that remind me I should be doing better than I am. I've got over the disapointment that I'm not one of the philosophical geniuses I read while growing up.

Just got back from Athens. I'd post pictures but, well, didn't take any! Actually I took some on my phone, but nothing that came out well enough to post. Had a good time as expected. Was visiting an old friend.

24 hour drinking hours works well in Athens. Not so sure it'll work so well here. We shall see.

There's something very nice about the...

I agree, who needs drink to have a good time? Just look at our nights out for fuck's sake!

Thanks for the voicemail the other day, yeah next week, I will let you know and we can try and organise a night out.

Natalie Portman's ass was the only good performance in the film. I nearly mentioned in it my review but films critics dont usually wax lyrical about an actresses's ass do they?

You think you have a monopoly on facial hair? Your days are over fuzzface!
