Day from Hell, let me tell you.
Always know it's going to go well when the first call you receive goes a lil like this:
Nurse: "Good morning. calling to inform you that your patient, Mr. Smith, has passed on over the weekend. Please update your records and discontinue sending all medications"
Me: "...wow. Thank you; I'm so sorry. I'll make sure to notate that on his file."
Now, keep in mind that's how I started my shift...mix in a 2 hr drive due to Monday traffic and the discovery of yet another one of my coworkers calling off again. Throw in my boss being completely miserable and the inability to reach any of the unrealistic goals he has set as I attempt yet again to perform the duties of four separate techs at our other location.
Today at 2 o'clock, I walked out.
Thank you for letting my vent my frustrations. Sorry if that sounded like a huge "woe is me" entry. Point if it is I realized life is short. While I may need this job in some ways I don't need it enough to remain unhappy. I have the rest of my life to kill myself and work much harder for better pay offs. I know what I'm worth and how as a person, not just an employee, I should be treated. I'm a damn good worker and will always be in your corner as long as I'm treated with respect.
Never have I just walked out before. Always wonder what pushes a person to that limit....I found out today. Yes, that job may be important but my life; my happiness, my health, and my sanity is way more.
Thanks for listening <3
