At the end of this week I'm heading down to Neptune Beach for 9 days of surfing and lots of nothing. Maybe I'll go to Inksmith & Rogers and finally get that badass anchor tattoo, maybe not. It doens't matter, just as long as I have total uninterrupted blah time.
I saw today that Criterion is putting out a collection of Hiroshi Teshigahara films in July. The adaptation of Kobe Abe's novel: "The Face of Another" is among them. These movies were put out by Eureka! in the UK some time ago, but this is their first release here. Just in time too, because I'll need a dose of Japanese new wave film to counter balance the summer blockbuster season.
