Well the Ryan at Mr. Lube experiment has come to an end when three of us walked off the job yesterday.
Now this one hurts cause I liked the job and I liked the guys I worked with but the Manager was a fucking tool dickhead fuck and they were working me full time hours when I need part time right now. I could have probably arranged something with the district manager about my hours but I couldn't work with that ass of a manager anymore.
Lets put it this way... a lot of the stuff I thought I was screwing up on like putting cars int he wrong lane even though I thought I put them in the right ones and moving things around the shop and I thought maybe I did that by accident... yeah no it was him moving my cars because he thought lanes would open up sooner then yell at me for doing it rather than let me know he screwed up, and him moving shit and losing it and blaming it on me rather than take heat for it *he worked at a Mr. Lube for 4yrs then quit for 4yrs and now is back as a manager and just learning his job again*, he also blasted one of the guys on the lower deck for "playing" hurt after having boiling hot coolant sprayed on his shoulder cause there was no mark... today Giant Bruise and bleeding.
I liked the job, I am sad to see it go and now I fucking have to find something else again, but that guy made it an unsafe, scary work environment *like when he made us clean up the shop with the only cleaning fluid left a corrosive (WHIMS for the win... well cept when your boss doesn't know what the symbol is) and we kept breathing it in and burning our lungs and eyes with it* and a environment where you felt you might get yelled at at any moment for doing your job right then being told you aren't.
I hate managers like that, the last day I went I only went because he took the day off and one of our guys who had been there longer was working as a manager, very chill relaxed, we got to goof off a bit and slack a bit but still get all the fucking work done we needed to faster than when the other guy was in because we all respect him and wanted to do the work cause we like it. Thats the kind of manager I was when I managed slack but still knowing they would do the work because they wanted to be there and they knew they could have fun while still doing their work, rather than an iron fist that blames everyone for his own mistakes.
