Last night was the SGFL screening of the SG DVD. Even though Lovesome and I had cheated and watched her copy already, we drove from Tampa to go. And I have to say, it was well worth it.

Not only was it good to see everyone and meet some new people, but the event was very well planned. Never seen such organization out of SGFL...its mostly just randomness and debauchery tongue (nothing wrong with that)

I think everyone in SGFL wants to thank AlienLizzie for putting together everything smile


I've been wanting to say a few things about Katrina and the conditions in the effected region.

I have been so angered at the unresponsive actions of President Bush and the current administration. It was 4 days after before any real help showed up. They knew beforehand that this was going to be a disaster. Hurricanes don't pop up out of the blue, and this one was hard to miss being the size of the fucking Gulf of Mexico.

The worst thing I have heard about the whole situation: Someone tried to counter the fact that the administration was not prepared by saying that the victims should have prepared themselves by buying canned food and generators. I wanted to reach through the radio and rip out that man's voice box. What kind of dumbass logic does that man have?! The people that were left stranded in the path of the storm were the ones that couldn't afford to leave. No amount of preparation would have helped after your home was wiped off its foundation. Generators do not work underwater. mad

I appreciate you waiting longer, and sorry we did not get more pics of me, but I am difficult to look good, only from a front view - certainly not from a side. SO neither of us had time for that unfortunately. You more than earned what little you were paid...

Don't forget the Oct 16th screening of it at DMAC, if you could make it. I would actually be interested in displaying some of your photography, perhaps with prints to be available for purchase if you are interested.

We missed lovesome, but just take care of her for us... I hope she is feeling better, and her ankle will be okay. I don't think she really wanted to be a part of my "cleavage train-wreck shoot that much, so you can relay what a pain-in-the-ass it all was anyway. The footage and your photos will suggest a much more pleasant atmosphere - LOL
