I am trying to write an article, based on some research I did last year. The problem is - the work I produced last year from this research was founded on a mythological narrative. Now I am trying to write it out the other way - more from the historical point of view than from the mythological point of view. I have all the research, I'm just not used to writing that way. It's strange having to refer to 'oracular prescriptions' coming from the Pythia rather than directly from Apollo (i.e. the god).
I have to give a presentation at our Honours and Postgrad research seminar on Friday, I'm just going to recycle the presentation I gave as ASCS this year, but I wish I had come up with something new.
I borrowed some books from the library on Graduate School entry and the GRE test. I'm still tossing up though - why would I leave my current PhD - which I could conceivably be conferred with in 2 1/2 years - to start a 6 or 7 year PhD program from the start. By the time I get to even thinking about writing a dissertation, I could already be a Doctor and applying for Post Docs. Ah well.
Oh well - back to the... whatever it is that I'm doing.
