Okay, this will probably be a messy post. Either that or very short. I'm not sure. (See, look, it's already messy!!!)
So, I'm going on a date on Tuesday. I've never been on a proper date before and I'm a bit freaked out about it. I'm going to his house and he's going to cook.
This is okay, because we've hung out a few times before, but it will be interesting to see what happens.
See, the thing is, I think, if he had have just said, "Hey come over for dinner on Tuesday" it wouldn't be a big deal and I wouldn't be freaked out about it.
Throwing in the d-word just messes with my brain.
He even brought up the girlfriend/boyfriend thing. Not in a "will you be my girlfriend" grade four kind of way, and not in a "Can I start calling you my girlfriend" kind of way (because, it's way too early for that) but sort of in a "Is this where this whole thing is heading" kind of way.
Anyway - he's nice. He's tall. He doesn't drive, though, which is a bit anoying. But, he's got his L's at least, and I'm going to teach him how to drive. My best friend kind of warned me that he's a bit of a tight-arse, but the more I think about it, the more it doesn't bother me, because he's not a tight-arse for no reason. He's a full time student, living in the city for the first time (he's a country boy) on his own, in halls (residence at Uni) and he's backpacking around a bit of Australia for a few months over summer. So, all in all, a fair reason to be a tightarse.
One of the problems though, is that I'm the total opposite. Even though I know I should be saving, I love to spend money (and I really love to spend money on other people - shouting drinks and whatnot)
He doesn't drink, or take drugs, or smoke, which could be a problem because I do all three (this messy post brought to you courtasy of the middle of the three)
I know I spelled courtasy wrong there, and then again, but my messy brain at the moment can't think of how to spell it. I know I know how to, and it's pissing me off a little bit that I can't, but I'm too damn lazy to open dictionary.com and check it.
He's younger than me, which is neither here nor there, really, but maybe a little younger that I would really like. I don't feel like a peadophile though, so at least I'm on the right side of that barrier (I do feel a little bit like a cradle-snatcher though, but who really gives a fuck at the end of the day)
Anyway... that is going to be the end of this messy post!
Morning Edit:
Best. Comment. Ever. (seriously, could you want a better comment?!?)
Duh! It's courtesy. I feel like a moron!

He sounds capable, and organised, and maybe that is what you need. He`s obviously sensitive as he managed to talk about girlfriends and boyfriends without being a dork.
The no drinking /smoking/ drugs bit seems a little off. I mean if he actively trys to change you, then that won`t work. If he is easy about that stuff, happy to be with people when they are drunk/stoned whatever, then there should be no problem
On the money thing, I guess it doesn`t hurt to watch your cash. He doesn`t drink, so why should he buy rounds? I understand that, as a water is a lot cheaper than a beer. I don`t drink myself and am generous, but I do resent the whole rounds thing when I`m not drinking.
So now I`ve talked myself out, I`m feeling better about him
