knee surgery nov 11! praise science! please fix my knee doc! im very nervous because they can't tell how much damage there is and how they are going to repair it till they get in there. All i know is they have to FIX IT! i cannot live with a knee that doesn't let me be active.
I finally get to go in for surgery cause i put it off all fall so i could coach soccer so i could make the money to pay for the surgery hah. With my insurance it is going to cost me about $800 for surgery which could be way worse so i can't complain. But i wonder if i will have to buy a brace, luckily i have crutches from surgery before. But they im sure i will also have to do physically therapy. Crutches for 6 weeks! that really is the worst part!
Wondering how i will get up the 2 flights of stairs at work, and how i will drive since it my right knee, and how i will be able to do freaking anything lol ugh it's gonna be so annoying.
But i am currently in constant pain and walking with a limp, sooo ready for this surgery!
Anyone have any experience with knee cartilage surgery? they are hoping to repair the broken cartilage by drill holes to increase blood flow or borrow cartilage from somewhere else. I had this same surgery on the same knee about 4 yeard ago but all they were able to do is remove the broken cartilage. Quick recovery but now i a missing that cartilage and that is not a good thing.

I'm glad to hear that the doctors are going to fix you up. Those guys really know what they're doing, so you should be in good shape after the recovery period. Just don't push yourself too hard till you're all healed.
