HIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!
After 10 days of vacation and 4.5 hours of sleep, I am back at work. And it is pooh already. But hey, it's good to know some things never change I was super happy to be leaving, but sad to be leaving the rest of my team behind to deal with my boss without my calming influence (sounds stupid but it's true, I'm the only one who can keep him in check). After 3 months here, I can quickly recognise the signs that mean he's about to go into one of his manic-depressive slumps, and I was worried how the others would deal with him.
The end result of my vacation is that the only other girl I worked with quit on Friday (no more female solidarity )thanks to his moods, harrassment and unstable behaviour, and one boy is about ready to walk out. The rest of us are just counting the days til we can leave.
It's like dealing with a massively overgrown child with ADD, depression, mania and I don't know what else. And this guy is 43. And CEO of our company. Fuck, it drives me insane. I have to arrange a 'talk' with him this week to discuss what he did to make the other girl quit. Fun.
So... Florida. It was HOT! Well, nice and toasty warm anyway. It was so nice to shed my layers and wander the streets, soaking up sun, in skirts and singlets. We spent the days driving around, having long leisurely breakfasts, lots of summery fruits, gallons of fresh OJ, going to the beach and generally just relaxing. Every night was a long yummy dinner with plenty of wine and cocktails. My kind of holiday.
I thought it was great - the boy and I were talking heaps, having fun, being silly, mucking around. Unfortunately I found out on the last night that I was the only one who thought it was great. It soured things a little... but... whatever. I still had a great time.
Oh I spent yesterday at Universal Studios and went on my first upside down rollercoaster!! IT WAS AWESOME! Yay! We got there really early and had been on the Hulk ride 3 times before 9.15am, then something that zoomed you up in the air and dropped you to the ground, then the 3D Spiderman ride, the Duelling Dragons fire & ice rollercoasters, back on the Hulk, on 2 rides that got us absolutely soaked, and back on Spiderman. Spiderman was my favourite, I really felt like I was falling and flying and getting attacked and swinging between buildings on spider webs. It was so much fun! I love that I am such a little kid still in so many ways.
Tell me something good. And, who missed me?
