So, been back a week already and still no meaningful update. I know, I suck. I'm sorry.
The short story is that last weekend was amazing. This weekend, not quite as amazing. But I mean, last weekend I saw The Twilight Singers live twice, published my first review on fasterlouder.com.au, met Greg Dulli again, went dancing with babyfirefly to tunes spun by Spookshow_baby and LivingDeadGirl, had beer and Yum Cha with blakemitchell, TheFuckOffKid and Steven and saw Pan's Labyrinth. And in between, a much longer story of delayed flights, being lost in strange cities, seeing old friends, shopping and a lot of random wandering.
This weekend I worked some and got a little drunk. Doesn't really compare at all.
It's not that I don't have anything to say, I just don't know how to say it. So in the absence of words, I bring you pictures.

Definitely not Alex Lloyd

The Gutter Twins album: Coming ... whenever these fuckers get around to it.

The now world famous ally in which I met Greg Dulli for the second time.

If you ever meet Bobby Macintyre in an ally somewhere, please shake his hand for me and apologise on my behalf for being so rude.

A little known musical fact: Wolf Like Me was actually written about rather hirsute musicians, Bobby MacIntyre (drums), Scott Ford (bass) and Jeff Klein (keys, guitar and howling).

Greg Dulli channels the ghost of Mr. James Brown.

kye:
Awesome pics. Sounds like a fantastic weekend! No wonder this weekend was dull by comparison!

missellie:
He does look really cold. Scary. I'm pleased you managed to keep your eyes.
