Well, not exactly the way I would have liked it to go but the weekend wasn't a total loss. Many issues with the movie, and none of them concerning any of the fan-boy issue, just basic movie stuff (casting, character development and general wtf were they thinking shit). Although I have noticed from all the reviews that AAFES cut the ending out of the movie so I'm plenty pissed about that, but I did pay for 4 bucks for a movie that everyone else is paying 10, so I'll be happy with that.
Didn't get to drink myself blind, and I really didn't drink that much anyway on saturday either. Went out saturday afternoon and had the best ribs this side of the Atlantic Ocean and watched my kid play in a water sculpture. Now that the weather is warmer I can take him places and stuff. Germany is beautiful in the summer and I entend to see as much of it as I can before I have to leave (whenever that is).
As a specail bonus, just this morning I just recieved notice that the boy is Autistic. I've been waiting for that little bit of news for a while now and I don't think anyone save his mother can understand how happy that makes me. We can now move forward with any help that he needs, which isn't a lot to be honest. Now before all of you get all misty-eyed, his what they call Higher Functioning Autistic. If you met him on the street he would seem just like a normal 5 1/2 year old, he just has some social and gross/ fine motor skills issues. Maybe some problems with grasping abstract concepts but on the whole he's just fine. So you see, I'm just elated that they've finally pulled their collective heads outta their asses and made this diagnosis.
Well enough for now I should be getting back to work.
