So I ran into an old friend, Mark, last night. He has broken up with his girlfriend of 4 years and is now out on the prowl. He said something about having a bottle of Absinth left form 1998/9 when we made some home brew back in the day; that wouldve been from my third batch ever. I am thinking about making a batch now,...

Hey! I've always wanted to make my own Absinthe! I have several recipes, but never have gotten around to making some. Perhaps I will someday soon and you can give me some pointers since youve made it before wink
If you decide to make another batch you must let me know how it compares, being aged and all.... skull

I may be going back to WCH to get them, perhaps today (though I had spoke with Dave about going to Cincy), perhaps tomorrow, perhaps during the week next week. I wont get another check till after classes start, then the following week I will get another. I have to make both those, in combination, last a month....

an amazing PBS documentary called "Merchants of Cool" was put out by
PBS Frontline a few years ago, it was composed by Douglas Rushkoff, (an
amazing author), and is viewable on-line at:

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/cool/view/

I highly recommend it to everyone on this list who hasn't seen it,
especially to parents, young people and educators/activists that are
here. Rushkoff's work in general has been a great inspiration...

A Formula for my Present

In weaving and reweaving my understanding of philosophy between Hegel and Foucault I have picked up my old copy of Beyond Good and Evil, in my late teens this was one of my favorite books, and though I tackled Aristotles Metaphysics before I read Nietzsche, it was the latter that has had the lasting impact on philosophy in my own...

Yesterday I finally got to see Melissa for a bit. We had sushi, and then went and saw some her friends work up at CCAD. She was the subject of two of the pieces her raven tattoo showing boldly in the painting. The other had her in a hamlet pose, contemplating a skull. Then we went back to the Waiting Room, which is more or...

Back in Columbus, Back to the Waiting Room

This is sort of relaxing, the last few days I have spent between my parents and Oxford Ohio. In Oxford I exposed my eminent return to most of those who would care. Most of them, will of course be welcoming me back. I spoke with Randy about having my old apt. back, but he is thinking about...

Last Thursday was an interesting day. I got a call at 8:40am from Washington Court House City Schools, to go teach a computer class, so I took the call, a shower and rushed to Court House. I got there and the new assistant principal helped me into my positon at a study hall, then I oversaw two computer classes. I let the students get a...
