Before I say anything else.. I need to say this: It's about time that motherfucker died. I don't wish death on anyone but if that's what it takes to get that conservative old bastard out of power, so be it.
And Capitalism is awesome, by the way, so FUCK OFF bitches!
Ok, now that I have that out of the way I can proceed with my regularly scheduled entry.
It's 4 AM and I'm sitting in the lounge of my hostel trying to pass the time before I jump on a train, and then a bus, and then a plane, and then another plane, and then another plane, and then another train home. It's going to be a long day tomorrow, but I've got so many things clogging my brain right now it'll probably be a speedy trip.. at least I'm hoping. I need to book a trip to NYC when I get back, the events of the day have me convinced.
This trip has been a blessing and a curse, but I wouldn't have it any other way. And I'd do it over again. I spent the last day here with friends in the park, and sipping smoothies in the sun in a cafe I affectionately refer to as honeybun, followed by a scenic walk along the last remaining stretch of the wall. This city really is rich in culture and history.
And as I have come to expect, every new day brings a new lesson or interesting experience. Today was a nice reminder of blind and unsuspecting trust as a complete and total stranger asked me for a favor and entrusted me with something most people wouldn't.. and just for that simple fact I'm more than happy to help. That and because this person also happens to be a 14 year vegan who runs one of the only vegan friendly places in Berlin.
This trip and the people I care about leave me with one sentence: I am in awe.
I'll leave you with a quote that I found written on a wall.
"Whether you believe you can, or you can, you are right."
