So I saw the cream of the crop, the froth atop an unimaginable mountain which is comic book fiction. "Superman returns" is the end all and be all of realistic portrayal of fictional entites. I could not have envisioned a better film. fron the story arc to the Alex Ross inspired visual effects, timing and spacing of events and references to his Christ like nature and or Atlas Prometheus and Icarus. Look for those. Aside from the pure beauty of the film.
