Re your parents, you're a full fledged adult and even if they are making points from a loving place, remind them that we only learn by doing and living with the results from our actions, the good and the bad. The best thing to do is not to fight, but listen and thank them for their advice and if they ask you if you will follow it, let them know that you take it seriously and will give it serious consideration in evaluating where and what you will do. Parents almost always want the best, and as long as they know that you are honestly listening and not just rebelling, they have to respect your decisions in the end.
