It seems another year has passed. 2006 went by so fast and I'm not near finished with it, let alone being ready for the next. A whole year has passed and I don't really have anything to show for it. I certainly haven't accomplished anything....though I don't know if I was supposed to. I guess this post seems pretty pointless by now for anyone reading it... more of a vent for my frustration than anything..and it seems to have worked enough for now so, fine, enough of that.
In other news, I need a best friend. I had one for a while....but then I moved away and it seems like we are barely acquaintances any more. This is not the first time this has happened.
Of the things I've learned since moving to Guelph, one of the major things is that a boyfriend is not an adequate substitution for a best friend. Boyfriend hates walking, doesn't like the mall, is terribly lazy, doesn't care what I wear, nor what colour my eyeshadow is, only ever wants to watch terrible comedy movies, and won't bake cookies with me. He'll play video games with me, or watch the Simpsons with me, get me drunk, or play guitar with me (kind of)....but that's a lot of important aspects of my life being left out of the picture. Plus, I can't complain and gossip about him TO him.. it doesn't work that way. I need a best friend!!!!!
In other completely unrelated news, Arrow is ridiculously adorable. He is sitting under my desk licking my Hello Kitty slippers. I just hope he doesn't get the wrong idea about her. Arrow is a bit of a whore...and I don't think Hello Kitty swings that way.
Oh yeah! And I forgot to mention my holidays.... remember that week with my parents I was dreading? yeah...it wasn't so bad. For the most part all the the drama, anger and chaos was avoided. On top of that, I was spoiled rotten. I came back to Guelph with a truckload of fantastic new things, including a new dresser from my parents, a keyboard from my grandparents and just about 3 kitchens worth of gadgets, utensils, and cookware.

My birthday kinda sucked....and my New Years kinda sucked more.....in fact I still havent fully recovered from that night. I guess I had better just enjoy my time before school starts again anyways.
I went to the mall yesterday and spent my gift certificate. I bought the move Bubba Ho-Tep. You should all go out and rent it right now. Its highly entertaining, and surprisingly excellent.
