Even though, sadly, I missed bowling, I still managed to have a pretty good weekend.
These past couple weeks have been really tough; very stressful, lonely and just...shitty. Everyone's been busy in their own little worlds.
My trip to Guelph this weekend was just supposed to be a nice visit, just chill and have some fun, but it really turned out to be more than that. It was Kirk's birthday on St. Patricks and he decided he wanted to do shrooms. I didn't really want to do them because I always have bad experiences with them, but I did a very very small dose prepared in a different way.
Saturday was really fun. I got to hang out with a bunch of my friends that I don't see very often, but Sunday was just indescribably amazing. We took the mushrooms around 1pm and went on a journey outside in the daylight. I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous, but it was like my soul was cleansed completely of everything that was bad.
We started off watching a scottish dancing demonstration, and it just felt like that bagpipe music was the soundtrack to our lives at that point. We wandered over to the park and played on the swings. It felt like I was flying. Being at the park brought me back to my childhood, carefree and happy. Finally, we went into the arboretum. Everything was so amazingly beautiful. It was just nature; the true form of the earth where all of us came from before cities and cars and technology. Walking through and looking at all of the beauty and splendor in that forest freed me from all of the stresses of my normal life. It made me so happy, that I hugged a tree. Trees are everywhere and people always take for granted that they are alive....but I felt it. I could honestly feel the life flowing through it, and it was amazing.
Okay now that I sound like a crazy hippie. here is a joke:
A little rabbit is happily running through the forest when he stumbles upon a giraffe rolling a joint. The rabbit looks at her and says, "Giraffe my friend, why do you do this? Come with me running through the forest, you'll see, you'll feel so much better!" The giraffe looks at him, looks at the joint, tosses it and goes off running with the rabbit.
Then they come across an elephant doing coke, so the rabbit again says, "Elephant my friend, why do you do this? Think about your health. Come running with us through the pretty forest, you'll see, you'll feel So good!" The elephant looks at them, looks at his razor, mirror and all, then tosses them and starts running with the rabbit and giraffe.
The three animals then come across a lion about to shoot up and the rabbit again says, "Lion my friend, why do you do this? Think about your health! ... Come running with us through the sunny forest, you will feel so good!" The lion looks at him, puts down his needle, and starts to beat the shit out of the rabbit.
As the giraffe and elephant watch in horror, they look at him and ask, "Lion, why did you do this?! He was merely trying to help us all!" The lion answers, "That little fucker! He makes me run around the forest like an idiot every time he's on ecstasy!"
...and that is the end of my very long post.
PS. I won't blame you if you don't actually read it. I probably wouldn't. Too looong.
