I finally got off from work early and of course the battery to my cellphone died so I had to wait it out anyway. Fortunately it was not cold, just wet due to the rain.
I finished watching volume 4 of Family Guy again, I watched all the episodes and then again with all the commentary. I also purchased and watched Little Miss Sunshine and Beerfest. I accidentally purchased the full screen version of Beerfest. I cannot stand fullscreen DVDs. The very existence of them irritates me.
A couple days ago at work a guy expressed disapproval of a sign posted advertising a special deal we were running this week. After I explained the terms of the deal which I think were already very visible on the sign, he tried to explain how the average shopper would not notice the full terms of the sale. And that he understands that such decisions about how sales are posted are not my responsibility but if I ever find myself in the position to make such a decision that I should not be an ass and do as "they" do. I just let it go without saying anything as I would defend the sign, and not for the integrity of the store but because I sincerely saw nothing wrong with the way this sale was advertised.
Today I was scorned at work because I was playing with a slinky. It surprised me a bit. I just had it in my hands shifting it from left to right and that seemed to bother my supervisor as if doing this somehow interfered with my ability to perform my duties. She proceeded to mock me and what I can only imagine what she considered to be a profound lack of professianlism by sarcastically asking if it was OK if she took it away and what not. I did not play into her ridiculous act of disdain. In essence making the point that her disapproval is completely uncalled for considering where we work and the position that I hold. During her rant I mentally prepared a rebuttal that would have called the aforementioned points and as a contingency had a resignation clause ready.
