I was accepted to my regional group on SG. I think the interaction with other members may enhance the online SG experience.
On my day:
I had a short day at work today. I will be making it up tomorrow though. I had a chat online with my brother, it was nice to catch up with him. We had fun with the photo sharing on Yahoo! Messenger. We exchanged various images of humor as well as some pictures he took while at Voodoo Fest. Plus he e-mailed me my photo from the Dallas Burlesque show. It came out pretty good. I think I have a crazy-eye look, but I wasn't feeling particularly well so I had to put more than the usual amount of effort to smile so I think I just may have over done it a bit. Nothing extreme.
Boring bonus blurb:
I was remembering my old job today while I was on my lunch break from work. I do not recall exactly why my former place of business came to mind while sitting in the food court of the mall... oh yes now I do. After ordering my slice of pepperoni and Pepsi I sat and enjoyed my "meal" when a young girl, probably still in high school I assume, judging from the light khaki pants and white polo shirt she wore; a common dress code requirement for the public schools in the area, collected an application from the food vendor attendant. This reminded me of the job seeking process. The application and interview, to the orientation and beginner week. Then came the memories both good and bad. And of course the people. My former job was in retail, electronics. So I was remembering the regulars, one in particular. She made me laugh. I think only those who have seen the movie Master of Disguise with Dana Carvey would understand this, but she was definitely turtley enough for the turtle club.
