So I met one of my icons, Todd Solondz. He was one of the nicest guys I've ever met. So great to meet an icon, and he not be an asshole.
Just the other day Daniel Wallace (the guy who wrote the book 'Big Fish') came into my work. I commented on how much I really enjoyed the ending ot his novel. I really didn't like his writing style, but I liked how he created characters who didn't run away from death, they ran towards it. It had an impact on me. He was very nice as well.
As he walked out the door, I turned to my boss and said, "Do you know who that was? That was Daniel Wallace, the guy who wrote 'Big Fish'". She didn't care, she just said, "Well, he walks on the sidewalk just like everyone else."
She did have a point.
Odd to run into these semi-celebrites.
